Funeral services for Jack Chandler, age 64, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville.
Burial will follow at Jarratt Cemetery, Jacksonville.
Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Mr. Chandler passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010 in Tyler.
He was born August 28, 1945 in Jacksonville to William Jackson and Bernice Chandler.
Mr. Chandler was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville; a graduate of Tyler Junior College and Steven F. Austin University where he graduated Summa cum Laude. He is a Veteran of the Vietnam conflict and a long-time member of the Tim Smith CPA firm.
Survivors include wife Ann Chandler of Jacksonville, son & daughter-in-law, David and Suzanne Townsend of Dallas; grand-daughter & husband Lesley & Casey Ryan; great-grand-daughter Ella Ryan, all of Austin; sister, Becki Walters of Ft. Worth; and several cousins.
Pallbearers will be Larry McCarroll, Brian Holcomb, Mark Scurlock, Ronny Davis, Jerry Miller, and W. A. Hunt. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Adamson, L. H. Holcomb, Hugh Goodpasture, Dr. Frank T.Ward, and Tim Smith.
Family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the charity of one’s choice.
