Funeral services for Roy L. Phariss, age 76, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville with Bruce Ligon officiating.
Burial will follow at Earle’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Phariss passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Tyler.
He was born November 11, 1933 in Breckenridge, Texas and worked as a parts manager in industrial retail. He served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Phariss was a member of Corinth Road Church of Christ, Jacksonville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Phariss.
Survivors include wife Wanda Jenean Phariss of Jacksonville, son Ricky L. Phariss of Florence, TX , daughter, Dabby Bryant and husband Michael of Rhome, TX; sister Joyce Marie Roland of Blackwell, TX; five grandchildren Melody Doze, Ryder Phariss, Erin Phariss-Coward, Justin Bryant and Garrett Bryant; five great grandchildren Mitchell, Matthew, Michael Trevor and Forest; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Don Cornelius, Matt Cornelius, Billy Montgomery, Slick Duncan, Charlie Gipson and Don Smith.
Visitation will be from noon to service time.
