Graveside services for Frances “Tootie” Gardner, age 69, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Griffin Cemetery, Blackjack Community, with Rev. Andy Cox officiating.
Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Miss Gardner passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 in Jacksonville.
She was born January 18, 1941 in the Hoshall Community near Lufkin.
Miss Gardner was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Jacksonville.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Mertie Gardner and sister Alma Jean Whiteley.
Survivors include brothers Roy Gardner and wife Kim, Johnny Gardner and wife Beverly, Kenneth Gardner and wife Christine, all of Jacksonville and Bill Gardner of Dallas; sisters Penny Simmons of Houston, Barbara Wiegman of Mansfield, Linda Bailey and husband Ken, Betty Halbert and husband Ronnie and Ann Tillman, all of Jacksonville; forty two nieces and nephews, fifty five great nieces and nephews and twenty seven great great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
